Paul Paolatto is a seasoned C-Suite Executive, Board Member and Entrepreneur.
In his last role, Paul served as Chief Operating Officer at Western University’s Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, where he managed a $200 million enterprise that support over 8,000 health care faculty, researchers, staff and students.
Paul also served as the Executive Director of Western University’s $125 million network of Research Parks, and CEO of Western’s new Additive Design in Surgical Solutions (ADEISS) Centre.
Paul has also managed WORLDiscoveries, the combined business development arm of Western University, Robarts Research Institute and the Lawson Health Research Institute that has grown to become one of the largest commercialization offices in Canada. Paul also led the formation of WORLDiscoveries Asia Inc., the first Technology Transfer office in North America to establish a permanent presence in Asia.
Prior to joining Western, Paul served as part-owner and CEO for two software companies and as Vice President, Operations at a $250 million Ontario-based Energy Services company. Paul has also been active in the community having served on the Boards of the London Police Service, the London Economic Development Corporation, Techalliance, London Small Business Centre, Children’s Health Foundation, Thames Valley Children Centre and the London Junior Knights Rep Hockey Association.
Born and raised in Windsor and a resident of London for the past 21 years; Paul attended the University of Toronto where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and then the University of Windsor where he earned a Masters degree in Business Administration.
Paul has been happily married to his beautiful wife for 35 years. They are proud parents of two children.
